TEACHERS OF EVENING COURSE TO TAKE PLACE TWO EVENINGS PER WEEK

(EITHER MONDAY/WEDNESDAY OR TUESDAY/THURSDAY)

 

SESSION #1: 05 SEPTEMBER 2017 TO 28 JANUARY 2018 (100 Hours)

 

SESSION #2: 29 JANUARY 2018 TO 30 JUNE 2018 (100 Hours)

Qualifications:

Secondary teacher training with a major/minor in Accounting/Business/Marketing
Must have the AVS Virtual School Certificate
Major practicum work/teaching experience at the secondary level
Experience teaching Accounting and Marketing 11 & 12 in the classroom and online setting
Experience and ability working collaboratively with students and parents/families to develop individualized educational programs
Able to plan curriculum and differentiate learning based on individual student needs
Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills applicable to teaching and learning in a Distributed Learning environment
Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills appropriate for the Distributed Learning and online learning environment
Able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, using Moodle LMS and Web 2.0 tools
Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of computers, computer-mediated software, and the Internet to support the integration of technology in all aspects of the curriculum delivery and student support
Ability and experience in the design and development of online content/curriculum preferred
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of computers and the internet to support the integration of technology in all aspects of the mathematics curriculum
Demonstrated skills and experience working in a home-based learning environment
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or practicum report(s)
Effective written and oral interpersonal skills in face-to-face and online environment
A highly effective team member
Eligible for B.C. Certification
