Summary:

Abbotsford Middle School is a grade 6-8 International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program school. IB training and experience is an asset, but not a requirement for the job.  This is a grade 6 position teaching Math and Science.



Education & Experience:

  • Intermediate/Middle teacher training with major practicum work/experience at the intermediate and/or middle level
  • Must be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge of middle school philosophy
  • Advanced coursework, diploma or degree in special populations (Aboriginal Education, Learning Services, English Language Learners, Social Emotional Learning) an asset
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • IB training an asset
  • Experience teaching Social Emotional Learning tools and strategies.
