Organizational Health & Safety

Tell us about your career journey that lead to your current role? How long have you been with the district? I started with the district 35 years ago with an accounting background. My first position was as an Accounts Payable Clerk. I advanced to become a supervisor and then a supervisor of payroll. I choose to explore a more creative position at the Abby Arts Centre. When change called, I accepted a position as custodial dispatch and then took a temporary position in the health and safety area. This position has proved to be my passion, proving that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. Although there have always been many opportunities, I have never worked in a school.   What is the best part of working for the Abbotsford School District? Being part of a team that cares about the community, staff, and students.   What is something unique about you that you would like to share? Do you have favorite hobbies or activities outside of the office? Hiking, biking, kayaking, gardening, wood carving, reading, visiting with family and friends, volunteering, and being part of a church community.
