Teachers
Abbotsford School District teachers work in schools and buildings across the city supporting students of all ages and needs, and in a variety of capacities. Teachers can specialize in specific areas ranging from science and arts to special education and early childhood development.
We recruit teachers to a pool of teaching applicants on an ongoing basis called Teachers Teaching On Call (TTOC). If you are successfully added to the TTOC pool, you will be able to teach certain vacancies temporarily and, when possible, enter the applicant pool for permanent consideration.
New contracted teachers in the Abbotsford School District have the opportunity to become a part of the Teacher Mentorship Program, sponsored by the Curriculum department and organized by Colleen Gregory.
Teachers are represented by the Abbotsford Teachers' Union.
